What is the law in new york regarding paintball markers?

I was just wondering if it was legal to transport a paintball marker in newyork. I’m not thinking of doing anything bad, it’s just the nearest paintball place to me requires me to take the subway.

As long as its not in the open, you don’t mention you have it, and you dont flash it around, you should be fine. Also make sure there is no paint in it, and the air is disconnected or turned off. If you get stopped by a cop make sure you let him know its a paintball gun, and where your planning to go with it.

Under New York Penal Law § 265.05, “it is ‘unlawful for any person under the age of sixteen to possess any air-gun, spring-gun or other instrument or weapon in which the propelling force is a spring or air.”

New York City Administrative Code § 10-131(b) also prohibits possession of such guns unless “used within a licensed amusement facility.” ………
I WOULD DO WHAT THE OTHER PERSON STATED AS WELL
