1. My friend has an A5 and he says its great. I recomend getting a double trigger or even better electronic trigger frame. Ohh also consider getting a flatline barrel for a great increase in accuracy proformence. So I think A5.

2. i personally would go with a 98 custom platinum. they are relaibul and you can customize them a lot more than an alpha. a5 are ok.

3. A-5 with E-Grip, $259 new. You’ll even have money for other stuff.

4. The Tippmann A-5 is the better gun. You have the cyclone feed that uses a little more air but acts as kind of like an electronic hopper in feeding the balls quicker. You would want probably want the selector switch egrip much easier to switch modes with that egrip instead of the old style. The Alpha is more starter gun which isnt upgradeable a whole lot compared to the Tippmann A-5.

5. Performancewise the A5 is a better marker out of the box. Plus there are more aftermarket accessories for the A5 than the Alpha Black. The Alpha Black is essentially a 98 custom. If you add a cyclone feed system to an Alpha Black you will get roughly the same performance out of the two guns.

6. tippmann A-5 with a flat-line ,that will take you to about 300 than get a nitro tank the cheapest one you can afford and if you have enough money left get a good mask

7. x7s are good i believe better but they do tend to get heavy even with an air line hose. so your best bet would be to go with an A5. get electronic trigger. try the flat line barrel before you buy it because some people don’t like it even though they say it makes your ball Go farther and more accurate.. try to get a vest with an air tank (air is better than co2 for your gun.) and an air hose so it doesn’t get heavy.
